The Peace Hear Jesus saying 'My peace I give to you - not as the world gives, do I give... My peace - not the world's peace...' Peace in the world usually signifies a period without conflict - liable to be shattered at any moment - transient, negative, precarious, decaying... God's peace is lasting, positive. Jesus says: 'I am the Prince of Peace..., I myself am Peace. I made peace through the blood of the Cross. It is there I can bring the fragments of life together. It is there I can bring the fragments of your life together, making you whole, at one, at peace with yourself and others. Pause And I am alive. I journeyed through death. So I am your living peace here and now, every day, whatever happens, so don't let your hearts be troubled or afraid. Pause Read John 20:19-23. ’After the resurrection Jesus came and stood among the disciples and said; 'Peace be with you. As the Father sent Me even so send I you.' He is here among us. What is He saying to you? Are you willing to be sent as His messenger of peace - near, far, anywhere? Pause ‘They were filled with joy at seeing the Lord. Then He breathed on them and said: 'Receive the Holy Spirit.' ’ We find it hard to receive. Let's help each other. When ready, open your eyes and look at each other. Say to the person sitting next to you, by name: …, Jesus says to you 'My peace I give to you' and ‘Receive the Holy Spirit.' Pause Then, praise and worship Him in any way appropriate and natural to the group. A time of sharing and testimony could follow before moving on to intercessions for peace.
