Local Intercession Give each group member the task of listing on a piece of paper what they think are the appropriate headings for prayer in the church/parish/neighbourhood (15mins). Pool the headings. Together identify the gaps. Can the group fill in some detail under each heading? What might be prayed for? Who might be able to tell the group more about these areas of activity? Each group member commits his/her self to talk to one of these people to obtain more information before the next meeting. Spend some time praying your headings. |
The aim is to produce a prayer cycle. It may take several meetings to achieve. It may need a continuing process of updating.
